ARMED HOME INVASION

On September 8, 2008, at 11:20 p.m., the Farmington Public Safety Department responded to a reported armed home invasion on Heatherton Street.  The residents were confronted by an armed subject upon arriving home.

The couple reported that they were returning home from a social event in Dearborn and believed they may have been followed.  The couple pulled into their garage, exited the car and were about to enter the home when confronted by the armed subject.  The subject stole the couples credit cards, money and jewelry before fleeing.

The subject was described as a black male, 6 tall, 200 lbs, wearing a ski mask and armed with a handgun.  A possible suspect vehicle was described as a dark color Chevrolet.

The Farmington Public Safety Department would like to remind citizens if they think they are being followed to call 9-1-1 and drive to a well lit public place.  Deputy Director Robert Schulz stated This was a very scary incident for the couple, but thankfully they cooperated with the suspect and were not harmed.

Farmington detectives are aggressively investigating this case to try and identify the subject.  Anyone with possible suspect information is asked to contact the Farmington Public Safety Department at 248-474-4700.

For further information please contact Deputy Director Robert Schulz at 248-474-5500, ext. 238.
