Attempt Home Invasion Suspect Sought!

Subject: Person of interest in Attempt Home Invasion 09-2353
On 5-17-09, an Attempt-Home Invasion occurred at 33441 Alta Loma St. The resident heard someone knocking on his door at approximately 2100 hours. The resident walked to his front door and noticed a man looking through his front window. The suspect then walked to a side window and attempted to remove the screen. The resident open the window blinds at which time the suspect took off. The resident attempted to run after the suspect but was not able to locate him
An email alert was sent out on 5-18-09. Following the email, Alta Loma residents reported seeing the below described individual going door-to-door in the Alta Loma Subdivision soliciting for lawn mowing job. One resident reported seeing the man on Wednesday, 5-20-09. The man was pushing a walk behind mower as he went door-to-door. Another resident reported seeing the man on Warner Street.
Description
W/M, 25-30 y.o., 6' tall, approx 180 lbs, clean shaven, light/sandy brown hair, dark blue (non-hooded) sweatshirt with the #7 on the back. The resident said that the man was eating ice cream on a stick. Resident reported that the ice cream was covered in chocolate. Resident could not see the suspect's pants or shoes. The resident was positive of his above description.
Please increase patrols in the area and attempt to locate and identify him. Contact Det. Spelman for further details.
