NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH REPORT
DECEMBER 2009

 

The monthly Neighborhood Watch report contains a summary of information important to Neighborhood Watch members.

 

MURDERS
None.


SEXUAL ASSAULTS
None.


ROBBERIES
None.


BURGLARIES
- A break in occurred at the Dollar Store.  Nothing was reported missing.


STOLEN AUTOMOBILES
None.

LARCENIES

- A wallet was stolen at Farmington Health Care.

- Several calculators were stolen at Farmington High School.

- A GPS unit was stolen from a car at River Glen Condominiums.

- A wallet was stolen from a locker at the Farmington Tennis Club.

- A camera was stolen at Longacre Elementary School.

- A cell phone was stolen from a car parked at the downtown library.


VANDALISM

- Two tires were slashed at Sunview Manor Apartments.


CRIME PREVENTION MESSAGE
Keep sidewalks and driveways shoveled, and lights on in the early evening to discourage a burglar by projecting that “someone is home look.”


YEAR END CRIME DATA
Serious “Part A” crime in Farmington decreased 3.6% in 2009.  Michigan defines the twenty (20) “Part A” crime categories.  During 2009, seventeen (17) of the twenty (20) “Part A” crime categories decreased or stayed the same.  During the past six (6) years, serious crime in Farmington decreased sixteen percent (16%) with ninety (90) fewer serious crimes.
