NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH REPORT

DECEMBER 2007

 

 

 

The monthly Neighborhood Watch report contains a summary of information important to Neighborhood Watch members.

 

 

ROBBERIES

None.

 

STOLEN VEHICLES

None.

 

BURGLARIES

On December 2nd, 4:37 a.m., a caucasian male, wearing black clothing and a mask, shattered the door glass at Jet’s Pizza and took petty cash from the business.  He escaped into a car parked on Violet Street.

 

On December 7th, 3:30 p.m., a resident on Oakland Avenue arrived home and discovered a burglary.  The suspect entered through a rear door.  A laptop, camera and money were stolen.

 

On December 7th, a burglary was discovered at Kensington Manor Apartments.  Three hours later, Farmington detectives executed a search warrant and arrested the perpetrator.

 

LARCENIES

On December 28th, an employee of the Grand Dollar on Grand River reported her Purse was stolen.

LARCENY FROM AUTOS

None.

 

MONTHLY CRIME PREVENTION REMINDERS

Keep your garage doors closed and locked to prevent the thefts of snow blowers.

 

Residents and motorists are encouraged to report drunk drivers.  The Farmington Public Safety Department arrested one hundred sixty-two (162) persons operating under the influence of alcohol or drugs in 2007.

 

YEAR END CRIME STATISTICS

Serious Group “A” crime decreased twelve percent (12%) in 2007.  The department’s annual report is expected to be published and available on line in April of 2008.
